I’ve lived in New York for 8 years but my heart has always been in California.

I’ve been seeing this old t-shirt around with the graphic, “If you’re rich you live in Beverly Hills, if you’re famous you live in Malibu, if you’re lucky you live in the Palisades.” I never got to be quite so lucky but I got the next best thing — to have grown up alongside my best friends in the Palisades, to have experienced my mom at work building and designing beautiful homes (and the Village School!) across the Palisades — most of which have burned down, to have had countless meals at our beloved Cholada across the table from the people I love most, and to have set myself on the path I’m on with the help of the wonderful teachers (well, especially one teacher) at Pali. I’m heartbroken for my home but blown away by the level of support community I’ve been seeing and feeling for LA all the way in New York. The way people have come together across LA to support our friends who have lost everything in the Eaton and Palisades fires is everything.

All I know how to do in a time of crisis is make some merch… so here we go. Two baseball caps designs, 100% of proceeds going to the CA Fire Foundation + LA Regional Food Bank.

I ❤️ you LA 🌅
